Hello everyone,
Yes, I’ve been on a break for a few months. But the restart is coming soon. I’m currently in Senegal and I’ll soon be setting off to do this small loop (photo 1).
Then I’ll head back to Abidjan to pick up Lady Pink… and from there, I plan to turn around and ride back to Senegal to wander around West Africa a bit longer. It will be a 3,000 km journey, mainly off-road, which I expect to complete in about two months (photo 2).
After that, I’ll probably spend some time traveling between Senegal and Guinea-Bissau. Then at the end of October, I’ll head in the opposite direction to make my way this time to Cape Town.
Why this choice? As I’ve told you, I love West Africa, especially the two Guineas, and there’s so much to explore in Senegal. So I’m taking my time.
In the meantime, I’m having fun with the technical side of things and learning.
The idea is to offer you something more fun. I’ve created a short slideshow about the last two years (which I’ll be putting online soon — I just need to tweak two or three things).
And this morning, I made a little retrospective slideshow about the 2003/2004 trip. For once, it’s mostly photos of me.
