Africa 2003\/2004 – 16 months – over 45,000 km

In February 2003, I set off on a 16-month road trip through Africa on a 1991 R100 GS, which I had bought specifically for the occasion. This journey resulted in a book.

I set off again in October 2023, but this time on a BMW G650 X Challenge nicknamed Ladypink.
This time the journey is intermittent and includes many breaks… but there are no longer any time limits.
