In this episode, I take you to meet Flore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From her younger years in Annecy to a professional journey that eventually took her deep into the tropical rainforest of the Congo Basin, her path has been anything but ordinary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, Flore works on developing tourism in Nouabal\u00e9-Ndoki National Park, in the north of the Republic of the Congo. Covering more than 4,000 km\u00b2, the park is home to one of the best-preserved forests in the Congo Basin, where forest elephants, gorillas and chimpanzees live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An exceptional place… but also an extremely remote and difficult-to-reach one, where tourism is still very limited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this episode, Flore tells us about her journey, her first trips to Africa, her professional experiences, her arrival in Congo and her discovery of this extraordinary region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A meeting with a woman whose journey has taken her a long way from her native Annecy, all the way to one of Africa’s last great remaining wilderness areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And a little wink to the vegans: you’ll discover just how difficult it can be to maintain a vegetarian diet in these parts of the world (at 51:00).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
