In this episode, I share a few travel anecdotes from Iran, picked up along the road and through the people I meet. From the Strait of Hormuz to Iranian Balochistan, from Bandar Abbas to Iran Shahr — a city on high alert — I tell you the little stories that make a motorcycle journey what it is: wild camping in the mountains, a military base, the remains of Operation Eagle Claw, and, to finish, a tale of fruit thieves!
There’s something new in this episode: my stories will be illustrated with images from my personal archives, giving you a real feel for the atmosphere of these adventures.
But travelling in Iran isn’t always a walk in the park. Flooding can seriously hinder progress and turn certain stretches of the journey into real challenges. Because when you travel, anecdotes come just as much from unexpected encounters as from the surprises the road throws your way!
Enjoy watching!
CORRECTION: In the video, I mention the city of Bandar Abbas. In fact, I’m referring to Chabahar, further east.
