In this episode, I take you to meet Flore.
From her younger years in Annecy to a professional journey that eventually took her deep into the tropical rainforest of the Congo Basin, her path has been anything but ordinary.
Today, Flore works on developing tourism in Nouabalé-Ndoki National Park, in the north of the Republic of the Congo. Covering more than 4,000 km², the park is home to one of the best-preserved forests in the Congo Basin, where forest elephants, gorillas and chimpanzees live.
An exceptional place… but also an extremely remote and difficult-to-reach one, where tourism is still very limited.
In this episode, Flore tells us about her journey, her first trips to Africa, her professional experiences, her arrival in Congo and her discovery of this extraordinary region.
A meeting with a woman whose journey has taken her a long way from her native Annecy, all the way to one of Africa’s last great remaining wilderness areas.
